Dickie’s Earth Month Workshops
To celebrate Earth Month and the hands-on ethos of the Dickie’s brand, I designed and produced a series of three sustainably-fueled workshops in NY, LA, and Dallas, hosted by local artists working in the up-cycling space. In New York, WeGather shared the art of Shibori dyeing to breathe new life into old clothes. In LA, Ysabel Hilado led guests through a Sashiko mending exercise to stitch up their old apparel while adding a pop of color. And in Dallas, LEGSSSS walked groups through her renowned tie-dying techniques, in tandem with a local vendor market featuring her celebrity-coveted tights, jewelry and decor from blo_oberry, delicious sweet treats from Georgina Martinez, and vintage fashion from Abigail Lane Vintage.
